1. Garage Sale!
Thursday marked the start of our garage sale! We learned that hosting a garage sale when your whole neighborhood has sales is easy! No signs or advertising needed! Just open the doors and let the people browse. We really didn't do much work, except the dreaded task of sorting and gathering unwanted/unneeded items. Most of our items were either $0.25 or $1 - easy pricing strategy! We sold most of our items and were happy to see them find new homes.
2. The Royal Wedding
Were you up early on Friday to see the wedding of the decade? The Royal Wedding was quite an event! I didn't follow much of of the hype leading up to the wedding, but I was able to see some of the follow up footage on Friday night. It was so beautiful and perfect - a contrast to world conflict, natural disaster, and high fuel prices. The wedding was something exciting amidst difficult times. And, didn't you love Kate's dress??3. Calypso
Today was the launch of Calypso St. Barth at Target. While I wasn't in store at all today, I did browse online to see the much anticipated collection. I was surprised to see many of the items already out of stock or unavailable online/in store. Target's designer collections are not always all that they are built-up to be, but I am loving the jewelry (especially these earrings and necklace- out of stock, of course), the bags, and of course, my favorite:
These amazing metallic poufs for $60. These would do a great job replacing my shabby (not chic) ottomans. Alas...these too are "out of stock". Probably for the better...but I plan to browse around to see the collection in person tomorrow!
Hope your weekends were filled fun, mamas!

okay, i am not savy at all at design, but when i was checking out today at target, the girl in front of me had one of those silver cushion things and they had to get a price check cause she said it was the last one with no tag. i had no idea i was witnessing something important. :)
